Colombia is the undisputed birding capital of the world, and this section is your roadmap to finding the most spectacular species on your own terms.

This section will share our detailed self-guided birding itineraries for the high-altitude sanctuaries of Jardín and Manizales. We will include tips on finding up to six species of Antpitta in a single day, the best spots for seeing the stunning Mountain Toucan, and our incredible encounter with the rare Sword-billed Hummingbird near Termales del Ruiz.
